PRIVATE JOSHUA BARTLETT : Born March 29, 1736. Married Sarah Badger on February 18, 1760, in Amesbury, Essex, Massachusetts. In 1776 they resided in Kingston, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. Joshua Bartlett was a Private in the 13th Regiment, enlisted Massachusetts January 10, 1777, mustered July 1, 1777. Furlough October 20 for 2 months. Returned to Camp Valley Forge, May 1, 1778. Discharged October 1, 1780. The whole time of Subsistence 13 weeks, 1 day, Amount of subsistence at 1 1/3 dollars per week, 17 dollars 44 90th parts. Bounty paid at 20 dollars each 20, Whole amount of subsistence and bounty $37 dollars 41 90th parts. He took part in battles of Still Water, Brandy Wine, and Monmouth according to his pension application letter sent by his son. He served in the company commanded by Captain Aaron Haynes in the 13th Massachusetts Regiment commanded by Colonel Edward Wigglesworth. On October 15, 1785, on behalf of the occupants of the town of Unity a group of men petitioned the "honorable Senate and House of Representatives to be convene at Concord, June 1786 the petition of us the subscribers on behalf of … inhabitants of the town of Unity humbly US government that the town owed something due to the contest with Great Britian …. signed by Joshua Bartlett, Elijah Weed, David Weed, Amos Chafe, Abner Chafe, Nathaniel Huntoon, Charles Huntoon, and Joseph Huntoon. The census of 1790 they were residing in Kingston, Rockingham, New Hampshire. In 1800, 1810, 1820 Unity, Cheshire, New Hampshire. Joshua applied for Revolutionary War Survivor's Pension and Bounty – Land Warrant in 1818. This filing has extensive documents related to his time during the war, letters, etc. Joshua died July 23, 1823, in New Hampshire, he is buried in East Unity Cemetery, East Unity, Sullivan County, New Hampshire.

SARAH BADGER: Born July 25, 1739, in Amesbury, Essex, Massachusetts. Died March 6, 1821, in Unity, New Hampshire. Buried in East Unity Cemetery, East Unity, Sullivan County, New Hampshire. Her death was noted in the Columbian Sentinel Newspaper Published January 19, 1822, in Massachusetts. Their children were:
