Mary Ellen Edwards, 87, of Farmer City, Ill. passed away Thursday March 24, 2011 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Bloomington.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A. M. Monday at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles with Rev. Quentin Mullinix of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
She was born July 11, 1923 in Cabery, Ill. to Fred and Ida (Roggenburg) Skelton. In 1944, she married Howard Edwards of Marseilles who preceded her in death in 1962.
She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Eastham of Farmer City; two sons, Kenneth (Laura) Edwards of Marseilles and Jim (Marsha) Edwards of Jonesboro, Ark.; six grandchildren, Eric Edwards, Joe and Amy Eastham, Cindy (Barry) Underwood, Linda Alvarado, and Ruth (Dennis) Shutty; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Fred (Hatty) Skelton of Salem, Ill. and Frank (Beatrice) Skelton of Maple Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and three sisters.
