"Services were held Saturday Nov. 12, in Berlin Center United Methodist Church for E. Dale , 70, of 15425 Berlin Station Road, Berlin Center, who died of a stroke Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 9, in Southside Medical Center, where he had been a patient for ten days. He was employed as a repair parts man for the Deming Division of the Crane Co. in Salem, where he had worked for more than 50 years. He was a member of the church. He was a 4-H adviser for the Berlin Buckaroos for 28 years, a trustee for the Dublin Grange in Canfield and an Army veteran of World War II. He leaves his wife, the former Vera Loveland, whom he married May 2, 1945; two sons, Dennis of Tucson, Ariz., and Jim of Akron; two daughters, Mrs. Debra Houge of Adamsville and Mrs. Jo Ann Crawford of Berlin Center; three sisters, Miss Ethel and Mrs. Carol McDonald, both of Salem, and Mrs. Mary Henning of Beloit; three brothers, Hubert and Kenneth, both of Greenford, and Herbert of Salem; and 11 grandchildren. A brother, Paul is deceased."
