Earl Emil Harold Boehnke, the son of Julius and Anna (Puggel) Boehnke was born July 4, l911 on a farm northeast of Garner. He was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church on July 30, 1911 and confirmed on April 5, 1925. He attended St. John's Parochial Schlool. On January 27 1956 he was married to Laura O. Hollatz at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, St. LouisPark, Mn. They farmed with Earl's brother, Lawrence, northeast of Garner and later with their son, Tom, until retiring from active farming in 1983. The farm has been recognized as a Century Farm.
He is survived by his wife, Laura O. Boehnke of Ventura; a son, Tom Boehnke and his wife, Janet, and their children ,Dara Joy, Sanna Sue, Brittany Lou and Kevin Thomas all of Ventura; a sister-in-law, Edna Boehnke and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lawrence Boehnke and his wife Alitza, George Boehnke, Arnold Boehnke in infancy and a sister, Elsie Dressel and her husband, Rev. Oscara Dressel.
