Bradford Cantrell, 76, of Brasstown, died Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Murphy Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 16, 1931 in Clay County, a son of the late Oscar and Mary Teems Cantrell. He was a member of the Little Brasstown Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean Conflict.
Bradford was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Suzanne Cantrell and infant son, Greg Cantrell; a brother, Johnny Cantrell, and a sister, Willa Mae Hall.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Jeanette Cantrell; daughter and son-in-law Wendy and Randy Hughes of Candler; grandchildren Brandon and Brooke Hughes; sister-in-law Margaret Cantrell of Brasstown; nephews Melvin and Edward Cantrell; nieces Nancy Saxon and Mary Payne.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2008 at Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Aud Brown officiating. Music was provided by Aud and Becky Brown and Troy and Linda Phillips. Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Skip Mulkey, John Chastain, Melvin Cantrell, Edward Cantrell, Fred Cook, and Chuck Cook.
