Goldie J. Bard King, 85, a resident of Manor Care Nursing Home, Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Harrisonville, PA passed away Thursday, October 7th, 2010 at Manor Care Nursing Home, Chambersburg, PA.

Goldie was born in Harrisonville, PA on December 25, 1924, the daughter of the late Ira and Clara (Daniels) Mellott. She was the widow of Dean King whom she married in 1992 and he passed away in 1998. Mrs. King retired from Pet Ritz in Chambersburg, PA after many years of service.

She is survived by Daughters Delores F. Eyer of Chambersburg, PA, Wavalene F. Bard of Mechanicsburg, PA, Son Dallas E. Bard of Needmore, PA, Step-Daughter Vickie Bailey of Fayetteville, PA, Step-Sons Bob King of Hagerstown, MD, John King of Chambersburg, PA, Steve King of Florida, Brothers Simon Mellott of Chambersburg, PA, William Mellott of Waynesboro, PA, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and fourteen step-grandchildren. Preceded in death by first husband Almon T. Bard who passed away in 1981, sisters Bertha DeShong, Jeanne Swindell, brothers Roy and Robert Mellott.

Religious Service at Pleasant Ridge Nazarene Church, Harrisonville, PA, at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 11th, 2010 with Pastor Ky Searcy and Pastor Dan Porterfield officiating.

Interment at Pleasant Ridge Nazarene Cemetery, Harrisonville, PA.
