Mrs. Lewis was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs John Norris, of Scott Addition, born here May 7, 1908. She was the wife of Maurice (Bud) Lewis. They were married June 21, 1933.
She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist church, and was president of the Girl Scout District, having been active in Girl Scout work for many years. She was a charter and life member of the Omega Nu Tau sorority, and had been active in P-T-A work.
Surviving beside the husband and parents are one child, Linda Maureen Lewis, age 10; two brothers, Arthur Norris of Alexandria, and John Norris of Indianapolis; six sisters, Mrs. Edith Cartwright, and Mrs. Freda Weed, both of Alexandria; Mrs. Roxie Breece, Lapel, Mrs. Georgia Ruth Schleehan, Cleveland, Ohio; Ms. Virginia faye Norris and Ms. Mary Ann Norris, both of sand Diego, Calif.
The body was taken to the Davis and Stricler Funeral Home. No arrangements for services have been announced.
