Services for John Littler, 71, who died at the Bemidji Hospital Wednesday, will be held at the United Methodist Church, Cass Lake, Monday at 11 a.m. The Rev. George Beck will officiate with burial in Ten Lakes Cemetery under the direction of the Olson-Schwartz Funeral home, Bemidji. Mr. Littler was born March 30, 1898, in Adair County, Iowa, and moved with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Littler, to the Cass Lake area in 1919 where he had lived since. He served on the Ten Lakes town board and was a school bus driver. His marriage to Gladys Clapp took place in Bemidji Dec. 7, 1926. Survivors include his wife; five sons, Floyd and Clifford of Babbitt, Roy of Nashwauk, E. Vernon of Embarrass and John Jr., Cass Lake; six daughters, Mrs. Al Tardy (Bernice), Nashwauk, Mrs. Kendel Kolkin (Beatrice) of Babbitt, Mrs. Carroll Cooper (Vera) of Hawley, Mrs. Ted Butenhoff (Vona) and Mrs. Oris Hanson (Charlotte) of Moorhead, Mrs, Harien Jensen (Gladys) of Glyndon; 28 grandchildren; three brothers, Jay and Wilber of Nashwauk and Forrest of Duluth; six sisters, Mrs. Ila Rusco, Cass Lake, Mrs. Ed Golly, Moses Lake, Wash., Mrs. Artie Irwin, Parma, Idaho, Mrs. Alex Kruger, Rice Lake, Wis., Mrs. Emory Bailey, Deerwood and Mrs. Florence Murphy, Tooele, Utah.
