Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Bauer Quin, 90, of 1301 Church St. were conducted from the chapel of Colonial Funeral Home Sunday, Jan. 10 at 2 p. m. The Rev. Kenneth Jordan, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Columbia and the Rev. Wayne Ward for First Baptist Church officiated. Interment was in Columbia Cemetery.
Mrs. Quin died Friday, Jan. 8, at 8:30 p. m. at Marion County General Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in St. Louis, Mo., Dec. 9, 1891, Mrs. Quin was a homemaker. She taught Sunday School for thirty years at First Baptist Church and was Superintendent of the Primary Department at that church. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Suvivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ellen Q. Braswell of Gretna, La.; one sister, Mrs. Caro Barnes of Columbia and a number of nephews and nieces; four grandchildren, Mrs. Bill (Martha) Gunther, of New Orleans, Mrs. Sue Webb, Miss Ann Webb and Tom Webb; three great-grandchildren, Gretchen, Hiedi and Billy Gunther.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alton F. Quin, an infant son; one sister, Mrs. Byron (Adah) Goss Jr., a daughter, Mrs. A. G. (Evelyn) Webb and a brother, Fred Bauer.
Pallbearers were James Q. Lamousin, Leo Leake, John Skipper Jr., Wiley W. Warren, John H. Webb Jr. and Cliff Weems.
