Agnes C. Conrad, 68, of W7096 Grogen Road, Elkhart Lake, died Sunday night, January 6, 1991 at Valley View Medical Center, Plymouth, after suffering an apparent heart attack at her home.
She was the former Agnes Hammel, born October 31, 1922, in the Town of Schleswig, daughter of the late Elmer and Pearl Stembeck Hammel. She was a 1940 graduate of Kiel High school and attended cosmetology school in Manitowoc. On May 26, 1945 she married Norman Conrad at Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel. She was employed at A.A. Laun Company in Kiel, and was also a former beautician at the former Vi’s Beauty Shop in Kiel. She also operated out of her home and helped on the family farm.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel; the church choir, a former Sunday School teacher and organist, a member of the Ladies Aid and also taught Bible School.
Survivors include her husband, Norman; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Lynn) Pfister of New Holstein; Diane Conrad, of Whitefish Bay, five grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Jeanette Conrad of Plymouth. She was preceded in death by one son, Glenn and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kiel with the Rev. James Bartz officiating. Burial will be in the Schleswig Cemetery, Rockville.
