Mrs. Florine Kasem, resident at 816 West Texas the last 27 years, died Friday at Fort Stanton(?).
Funeral services are pending with West Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sunset Gardens.
She was born in Southland, Tex., attended school in Carlsbad and was married to the late Jack Kasem Sept. 17, 1940.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Vera Self, Tioga, Tex., two daughters, Mrs. Claudette Morrison, Roswell, and Rita Kasem of Carlsbad, two brothers, Earl Slusher, Denver, Colo., and Noble Slusher of Carlsbad, and sister, Mrs. Elmer Smith, Houston, Tex., and two grandchildren.

The Rev. J. Melvin Ray, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.
Dick Floyd, Joe Hill, Jack Rupe, Emett Rumfelt, Tommy Thomas, and Pinkey Richards will be pallbearers.
