Aldora was the fifth child, in my records, of Calvin and Hypatia Mary Ann (JEFFRYES) MARTIN. She was listed on the 1870 Henry County, Illinois census living with her mother and three older surving siblings. The census says that Aldora was born in Illinois (most likely either Mercer or Henry County). Although her father Calvin was not listed on this census, there is reason to believe he was still living and that he and Hypatia Mary Ann had another child after 1870.
