MULLINS - Julius N. Bethea of Mullins, 81, died suddenly Wednesday night at Folly Beach, where he had gone with his family to visit his son, John P. Bethea.
Mr. Bethea was the son of Capt. Elisha C. Bethea and Martha Walter Bethea. His grandparents, Phillip Bethea and Rachel Cochran Bethea, being among the first Bethea settlers of the Dillon County clan.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Carrie Sessions Bethea; and the following children, Adger W. Bethea of Canal Zone, Mrs. Alice MacQueen of Clio, Mrs. Howard B. Smith of Mullins, Mrs. Arnold Hall of Greensboro, and John P. Bethea of Charleston.
Funeral services will be held at the home at 10 o'clock Friday morning with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
