Mr. A.G. Franks, Sr, of Hayti, died on March 27, 2011 at his home.
He was born March 27, 2011 (error) in Hayti to Felix and Lucille McKnight Franks Sr. On June 4, 1962 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Riley in Portageville.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Hayti. He was also member of the Pemiscot Emergency Response Team. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family. He worked as a truck driver dispatcher for the Don Medlin Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister: Mary E. Beck and his brother; Felix Franks, Jr.
He leaves behind the following to cherish his memory: His wife, Bonnie Franks of Hayti; two sons, A.G. Franks, Jr., of Hayti and Randall Franks, Barbara Young of Portageville; four grandchildren, Amanda Cameron, Randall Franks, Jr., Ashley Franks, and Mary Elizabeth Estes; and three great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother, Walter Franks and his wife Murline of Hayti, his sister-in-law, Alma Ruth Franks of Kennett and host of other relatives along with many friends.
Pallbearers were Jerry Hooper, Shawn Deaton, Troy Meales, Shawn Clevenger, Rick Dawson and Randall Franks, Jr.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Hayti with Brother Doug Wahls officiating. Burial was held in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.
John w. German Funeral Home in hayti was in charge of the services.
