Pryor Ellenburg was born in Cocke County, Tennessee in 1882. A son of Phillip & Mary Gray(s) Ellenburg. Moved to Arkansas County, Arkansas as a child and in 1902 married Katie Bonnie Wilson. He was a farmer. They had Winifred (Burton, Kennedy), Viola (died in infancy), Myrtice (Kennedy, Roberts), Eldon, Elnora (Brown, Johnson), Carroll, Shirley (Parrish, Lane) and Earl. All lifelong residents of DeWitt until their deaths. As of Feb 2014, only Shirley E. Lane survives.
