SAWYER - Adolph Schmidt, 55-year-old Sawyer farmer, died in his home at 3:30 a.m. today. He was born in Sawyer on Dec. 2, 1912. On Nov. 21, 1931, he married Mabel Lumley, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gerald Spitzer of Stevensville, and Mrs. Walter Livengood of Sawyer; two sons, August and Donald, both of Sawyer; eight grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Paul Krieger of Sawyer, Mrs. Clayton Bishop of Benton Harbor and Mrs. Paul Ott of Bridgman. The body is at the Connelly-Noble Funeral Home, Three Oaks. Services will be at the Sawyer Trinity Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Thursday, with Rev. A. Pankratz, pastor, officiating.
