Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with a Mass of Christian burial at St. Stephen's Church. Monsignor Peter Bolerasky will officiate.
Music for the Mass will be provided by St. Stephen's Grade School Choir, under the direction of JoAnn Cave.
The Rev. Jeffrey Small will conduct cemetery rites at St. Stephen's Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Solon Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Robert Gayon, Dave Guyon, Mark Salata, Kevin Liptak, Keith Liptak and Kelly Liptak.
Born Aug. 20 [18], 1894, in Marhan [Kohany], Czechkoslovakia [now: Kochanovce, Slovakia], she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Pouk. She married Thomas Salata Sr. on Sept. 7, 1913, at St. Stephen's Church. He died in 1951.
Surviving are a son, Thomas Salata; daughters, Ann Guyon, Helen Gayon and Mayme Liptak, all of Streator; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-granchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Andrew "Pipe" Salata; twins in infancy; five brother; and four sisters.
She was a member of St. Stephen's Church.
