Lewis Larson Passed away Thursday at Kimball, Nebraska. Following long illness.

Was a former resident of the Sheldahl community.

Funeral services for Lewis Larson, a former resident at Sheldahl, who passed away Thursday at Kimball, Nebraska, following a long illness, were held Monday afternoon at the Sheldahl Methodist church. Interment was made at the Sheldahl cemetery.

Lewis Larson son of Ole and Anna Larson, was born near Oslo, Norway, October 18, 1865, and died in the hospital at Kimball, Nebraska, May 6, 1943, at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 18 days.

He immigrated to this country with his parents when 5 years old and his parents settled in the community near Sheldahl where he grew to manhood. Upon arriving in this country his parents affiliated and became active members of the Lutheran church of the community and Lewis was instructed and confirmed in the Lutheran church. Both his parents died in this community and are buried in the Sheldahl cemetery. He had one brother and two sisters, all of whom preceded him in death.

March 17, 1897, he was united in marriage to Belle Auestad of sheldahl. They became members of the sheldahl M.E. church were active and contributing members during their residence in Sheldahl. For a period of time he was engaged in the furniture and undertaking business in Sheldahl. He continued in the capacity until the summer of 1907 when he and his wife moved to Wyoming, locating on a homestead north of Pine Bluffs. He was active and influential in the development of this new country where he bought more land. The voters of Laramie county, Wyoming, elected him to serve as a county commissioner in that county. He always showed a willingness to be of any help and all who knew him considered him as a special friend and a good home-maker.

He is survived by his wife and a host of relatives and friends.
