Louise Killian died Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at her home in Collingsworth County at the age of 80. She was born November 9, 1921 in the Arlie Community of Childress County to Roy Young and Emma Griffin Young. She graduated from Dodson High School and was a member of the Pinkston Sunday School Class, active in the Lydia Circle of the UMW and was a children's Sunday School teacher for many years. She married J.B. Killian in August 25, 1940 in Dodson. He preceded her in death in 2000. She was a former member of the Fresno Home Demonstration Club and had served as president of the Collingsworth County Extension Council. When her children were young, she was active in PTA and was a former president and a former Cub Scout den mother.

Survivors include three sons, Dr. Granvel Killian and his wife, Vicki, of Hollis; Gary Killian and wife, Mitzie and Mark Killian and wife, Phyllis, all of Wellington; a daughter, Vicki Kunka and her husband, Gary, of Follett; 13 grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Lewis.
