Mary P. Krusko of Yonkers died Friday, May 23, 1997, at St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers. She was 97. Mrs. Krusko worked for Precision Valve Corp. in Yonkers from 1955 to 1970, when she retired. Before that, she worked at the former Alexander Smith and Sons Carpet Co. factory in Yonkers. She was born April 22, 1900, to Paul and Mary Preputin Panco in Stockton, Pa., where she was raised and educated. In August 1921, she married Joseph Krusko in Hazleton, Pa. They moved to Yonkers that year. She was a member of St. Mary's Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church in Yonkers and its Mothers Club, as well as the Bryn Mawr Senior Citizens.
Her husband died in 1980. Two sons, Joseph Jr. and Nicholas; two sisters, Susan Panco and Helen Kopetz; and three brothers, Paul Panco, Andrew Panco and Basil Panco, also died earlier.
Visitation is today at the Duchynski-Cherko Funeral Home in Yonkers. A funeral service is at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Mary's Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church, 485 N. Broadway in Yonkers. Burial follows in Oakland Cemetery in Yonkers.
