Mrs. Avanell "Abbie" Scott, 55 of 4222 Brown Ave., Meridian, died at 5:15 p.m. yesterday at her home, of natural causes.
Born in Butler, December 10, 1924, she was the daughter of Harry E. and Beulah E. Brown Brown.
She was employed as a cook at the Firedown Restaurant on Old Plank Road.
Survining are her husband, Harvey L. F. Scott; two sons, Harvey L. Scott of Butler and DeWight E. of West Sunbury R.D. 1; her mother, Mrs. Beulah Maxwell of Meridian; four grandchildren; three half-sisters, Mrs. George (Norma Jean) Slater of Meridian, Mrs. Alfred (Bebe) Hempfling of West Sunbury, and Mrs. William (Marsha) Giles of Beaver Falls: and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends of Mrs. Avanell Scott, who died Wednesday, march 19, 1980 will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday. Burial will be in Gruenwald Cemetery.
