He was my husbands Great Grandfather. He lived long enough to hold my husband's oldest sister before he died. He was a gentle man.
By trade he was listed as a shoemaker, coal miner, wheelwright and carpenter. He and his wife were of the Mennonite faith.
Joseph was the son of John Royer and Sophia Catherine Funk Royer.
Joseph died June 8, 1924 on Sunday at 9:45 A.M; At his home.
He was the last of his 12 other siblings to die.
