Frankenmuth News June,18,1975 Lillian Bernthal dies at age 74 Funeral services took place Thursday afternoon at the Cederberg- Zucker Funeral Homeand at St. Lorenz Church for Miss Lillian Bernthal, 74, who passed away Monday evening at Saginaw General Hospital. The Rev. Ronald Moritz and the Rev. John Johnson officiated with burial in St. Lorenz cemetery. Those who so desired were asked to make memorials to the Lutheran Hour. Miss Bernthal was born June 30,1900 in Frankenmuth and had been a lifelong resident here. She was a member of St. Lorenz Church. Prior to her retirement in 1970 she had been employed at Frankenmuth Bank and Trust for 38 years. She leaves three sisters, Miss Hulda Bernthal of Frankenmuth, Mrs Ralph (Clara) Stroebel and Mrs Alfred (Eleanor) Schumacher of Saginaw; many nieces and nephews. Four brothers predeceased her.
