She was born at Rocksdale, the daughter of the late Marshall and Margaret Blake Starcher.
She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Joan Satterfield of Grantsville and Twila Roach of Parkersburg; four grandchildren; one great- grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Whisman, on June 13, 2004, and 11 siblings.
Services were held at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, with Rev. Don Stilgenbauer and Rev. Carroll McCauley officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
