He was born July 20, 1953, the son of Ann Connolly Davis of Gatlinburg, Tenn., and the late Dorsey Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his adopted father, Jack W. Davis; maternal grandfather, Howard Conner.
He was a 1971 graduate of Hurricane High School where he played football and was a member of the All-State Chorus. He attended Glenville State College and was employed by J.D. Land Company and Jack W. Davis, general contractor. Though paralyzed in an accident in 1982, he remained active through computer, telephone and internet and was a loving family member and friend.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Josephine Conner of Hurricane; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Missy Davis of Orlando, Fla.; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Kim Wolfe of Huntington; nieces and nephews, James, Michael, Angela, Mary, John, Sara, Paul and Annie Wolfe, with whom he shared his last six years; very special loved ones, Mikell McDonough and Dundee.
Service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at Reger Funeral Home, Huntington, with his brother-in-law, Bishop Kim Wolfe officiating. Burial in Valley View Memorial Park.
