MOOREFIELD-Homer Leona Raines, 67 died Thursday, April 17, 1969 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Harrisonburg, Va.
Born in Old Fields, he was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Ella (Reel) Raines. He was a retired state road employee.
Surviving were his widow, Thelma (Liller) Raines; four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Flinn, Flint, Mich.; Mrs. Betty Whetzel and Mrs. Juanita See, both of Moorefield, and Mrs. Laura Hedrick, Bridgewater, Va,; three sons, Gilbert "Rocky" Raines and Gordon Raines, both of Moorefield, and Charles Raines, Falls Church, Va.; a half-sister, Mrs. Rosa Markwood, Cumberland; two brothers, George W. Raines, Moorefield, and James B. Raines, Cumberland; 16 grand-children, and two great-grand-children.
