Richard Dale "Rick" Adams, 55, of Martin, died April 23, 2011 at his residence.
Services were to be held at 2 p.m. today at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Bob Copeland, Terry Griffin and Louis Whitman officiating. Burial was in East Side Cemetery.
Rick Kelly, David Todd, Bob Robinson, Bill Coffey, Ernie Siglow, Jeff Baker, Riley Greenlee and Clay McCoy will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Hobart Beale, Joe Seaton, Ron Neeley, Hollis Suiter, Joe Insco, Tommy Gallien, Ricky Ezelle and Dr. Joe Adcock.
Adams was born Aug. 12, 1955 in Cook County, Ill., son of Mrs. Dorothy Newberry Adams of Martin and the late James Riley Adams. He was a graduate of Westview High School, a contractor/developer, a member of Martin Masonic Lodge #551 and member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors also include his wife, Mrs. Pamela Washburn Adams of Martin; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Brian Shannon and Kim Adams of Martin and Bradley Shea Adams of Jackson; one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Ann "Beth" and Todd Warren of Medina; one brother and sister-in-law, James Dennis and Gloria Adams of Florida; one sister and brother-in-law, Debbi and Mike Greenlee of Lakeland, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Anna Warren and Connor Warren, both of Medina.
