EARLING - Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. at St Joseph's church in Earling for Mrs Anna Kenkel, 78, who died Tuesday after an illness of several months.
A native of Germany, Mrs Kenkel came to this country 64 years ago. Her twin sister, Mrs Mary Scheuring of Bedford, S.D., died two weeks ago.
Surviving are six sons, Nick Kenkel of Defiance, Bernard of Woodbine, Theodore and Emil of Defiance, Henry of Manilla, and Lawrence of Earling; four daughters, Mrs Josephine Stessman of Earling, Mrs Dora Borman of Bode, Mrs Mary Wieland of Panama, and Miss Elizabeth Kenkel at home; one sister, Mrs Josephine Schram of Earling; and 56 grandchildren.
