Word has been received of the death Thursday (May 31, 1979) of a 1977 Dansville Central School graduate, Airman 1-C Richard H. Feil, 20.
The former South Dansville resident died from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on the Island of Guam where he was serving with the U.S. Air Force.
He was born in Hilton, and lived most of his life in South Dansville. He had entered the military last year.
Surviving are his parents, Gordon F. and Irene Rygwaiski Feil of Hornell RD2; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Helen Rygwaiski of Elizabeth, N.J., and his paternal grandfather, Harry A. Feil of Hilton; three sisters, Mrs. John Pancheri of Elizabeth, Mrs. Russell Printy of Rochester and Mrs. Jerry Haust of Hornell; and two brothers, Gordon P. of Meriden, Conn., and Jeffrey T. at home.
A service was conducted Friday morning in the Robertson Funeral Home of Hornell for Richard H. Feil, a 1977 Dansville Central High School graduate, who died May 31 of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Guam where he was serving with the Air Force.
Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, South Dansville with full military honors.
