She, along with her husband and four of her brothers and two sisters and their spouses were bring sued and by published notice on May 31, 1839 were summoned to appear at the Courthouse in Lexington, Davidson, North Carolina

One daughter, Catherine Bird, had previously died in 1817

It is unclear why the remaining two of his ten children were not made part of the suit.

Is it possible that Prudence had already passed and that George was excluded because of his Maryland residency?
