Anna Moe, daughter of Arnie and Mary Johnson, was born in Vaage, Guthrandsdulen, Norway on January 3, 1852. She left the old country in 1867 and came to Chicago, Illinois where she was confirmed in the Lutheran Church in 1868, and where on March 7, 1871, she was married to Paul Moe.

In 1877 she came to this community with her family among the early settlers and here she has since made her home.

For the past few months the departed had been in ill health and on February 5, 1936, at the age of 84 years, 1 month and 2 days the final summons came.

She is survived by her husband, three children Mrs. Jake Stofer, and Albert and Fred Moe. One daughter, Pauline, died in infancy and one son Rudolph, died in 1920. Fourteen grandchildren, one brother Iver Johnson of Brinsmade, N. D., nine great grandchildren and a host of friends also remain to grieve over the loss of one beloved.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, February 7, from the family home and the Methodist church with Rev. B. W. Selin, Mr Otto Nelson and Mr. Adolph Nelson, accompanied by Miss Mary West sang three songs. Internment made at Riverview.
