Marjorie Vivian (Barnett) Berg born July 20, 1915, died April 20, 2011. She taught Sunday school for many years. Marjorie attended Birch Hill Grade School, Washington High School in Brainerd, and Washington School of Art earning a degree in art. She loved to draw and paint. She was a member of the Brainerd Arts Club, the Gideons Auxillary and was also involved in jail ministry. Marjorie wrote poetry and occasionally illustrated short stories. She loved working on the farm.

She is survived by six children, Roslyn Riedel, Jacquelyn Maine, Michael Berg, Mavis Walkup, Jonathan Berg, Arden Berg; sons-in-law, Horton Maine, Jay Walkup; daughter-in-law, Bonnie K. Berg; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mable Barnett; and many nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Berg; daughter, Marcia Evelyn; grandson, Elijah; son-in-law, Arnold; daughter-in-law, Dixie; parents, Zack and Estella Barnett; sisters, Mildred, Maretta, Hazel, Phebe; and brother, Alfred.

Services will be at Heritage Assembly of God Church in Baxter on Tuesday, May 3, at 11 a.m. Viewing will be at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd on Monday, May 2, from 4-7:30 p.m. Interment will be at Pequot Lakes Cemetery.
