Funeral services for Ora Lee Barton Lewis will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010, in the Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Melder with the Reverends Jason Townley and Steve Squyres officiating. Committal services will follow in the Melder Cemetery in Melder under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Ms. Ora Lee Lewis, 82, of Elmer, entered eternal rest on February 18, 2010, at Rapides Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born September 13, 1928, in Jasper, Texas to the union of William and Nonie Squyres. They then moved to Elmer where she was raised and has lived since then. She was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Lewis retired from Rapides General where she was over purchasing.

Her parents, one daughter, Patty Barton, three brothers, Bud, Ben and Sam Squyres, four sisters, Leola Bollen-bacher, Viola Barge, Mary Adkins and LilaRea Melder precedes her in death.

She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory,one son, Christopher "Bodie" Barton of Elmer; two daughters, Mickie Fee and husband, Eddie of Glenmora and Debbie Murphy of Alexandria; grandchildren, Ashley Johnson and husband, Brent, Ed "Hank" Fee and wife, Tiffany, Jodie Thompson and husband, Anthony, Candice Fee, Joel Murphy; great-grandchildren, Kylee, Lainee, Miley, Damon and Gavin.

Pallbearers will be Ed "Hank" Fee, Stacy Davis, Don Barge, Roger Squyres, Greg Adkins and Merlyn Squyres. Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Johnson, Anthony Thompson, Joel Murphy, Damon Fee and Gavin Fee.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. today until time of service Saturday in the Church
