Wilma Smith Angus, age 93, of Lapoint, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, Saturday, April 30, 2011 at her home.

Wilma was born June 10, 1917 in Vernal to Eli and Birdie Ritter Smith. She married Floyd DelRoy Angus on May 25, 1937 in Vernal. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 8, 1939. He died Feb. 22, 2004.

Wilma loved her flowers and gardens. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed her family coming for visits. She was a helpmate to her husband, Floyd on their farm. She loved to travel – always wanted to go clear to the end of a trail, read any information available or go over the next hill.

She had grandchildren and great grandchildren in her home often and loved their visits. She was loved by her family and they will miss her immensely.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served in the Primary and other capacities through the years.

She crocheted beautiful afghans and doilies and shared them with family members. Her African violets were everywhere in the house and she helped others with new starts for their homes and gardens.

She is survived by her children, Theora (Drew) Goodrich, Layton; Nyal (Jonna) Angus, SLC; Doyle (Susan) Angus, Maeser; Kevin (Rhonda) Angus, Lapoint; 19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Floyd, sisters, Ella Burton, Rae Stewart, brother, Marvin Smith and grandson, Cody Angus.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 7 at 2 p.m. at the Uintah River Ward Chapel in Lapoint with a viewing 1 hour prior to the service.

Burial in the Lapoint Cemetery under direction of the Hullinger Mortuary.

The family wishes to express their thanks to Uintah Basin Medical Center's Hospice and friends and family who have assisted in any way.
