John Bromack, 76, of West Shawnee Avenue, Plymouth, died Saturday at the family homeBorn Aug. 29, 1920 in Plymouth, he was the son of the late Stephen and Ella Nemitz Bromack.
He was a lifelong resident of Plymouth Borough and graduated from Plymouth High School.
He was last employed as a supervisor by the Atwater Throwing Co., Plymouth and Wilkes-Barre, and previously by Air Products, Hanover Township.
He served with the U.S. Marines during World War II in the Pacific Theater.
He was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Plymouth; the American Legion Post 463, Plymouth; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1425, Plymouth.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Dolores Kronick, on Jan. 22, 1992.
Surviving are children, Nancy Banik, Hanover Township; Janis Lombardi, Kingston; Valerie Gialanella, Orange; John Jr., Shavertown; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Stephen Bromack, Plymouth; a sister, Anne Koval, Bear Creek; a niece.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday from the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, with Divine Liturgy at 9 a.m. in Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Plymouth.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery , Plymouth Township.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Parastas services will be held at Sunday with the Rev. Nick Kostiuk, pastor of Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church Building Fund.
