Married George E. Martin on July 7, 1897. After George's death, Lola moved from Nebraska to Yuma County, CO, on Oct. 5, 1916 and homesteaded 27 miles southeast of Yuma. She moved into Yuma in 1936 where she lived since. Lola had not been well for several days so her daughter, Lillian Chadwick, came from Cheyenne, WY, and took her home with her. When she became ill again she was taken to Laramie County Memorial Hospital in Cheyenne where she passed away.

Lola was a member of the Christian Church of Minden, NE. In 1928, she transferred her membership to the United Brethren Church at Abarr. After she moved to Yuma she became associated with the Seventh Day Adventist church.

Survivors include her daughter, Lillian; L. Martin of Prosser, WA; and Floyd Martin of La Verne, CA.
