50th Wedding Anniversary -- Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Stewart, who have been residents of the Culbertson community during practically all of their 50 years of wedded life, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Wednesday of this week by having all of their ten children and their families as guests at a 6 o'clock dinner in their home in this village.

Mr. Stewart, a native of Craig, Nebraska and Miss Nora Gose, who was born in Lincoln, were united in marriage by Judge Bishop in McCook, Nebraska on March 1, 1900. Both have always lived in Nebraska, except for a period of nine months that they spent in Fleming, Missouri. For many years, their home was on a farm nine miles northeast of Culbertson, which is now owned and operated by their son, Merle. Since retiring from farming three and one-half years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart have resided in Culbertson.

Table decorations for the family dinner party were carried out in gold and flowers for the table were yellow jonquils. The wedding anniversary cake was cut and served by Mrs. Edith Guyon, eldest daughter of the honored couple.

Mr. and Mrs. Stewart have five sons, five daughters, 26 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. All of their children reside in Nebraska, except their eldest daughter. Their sons and daughters are: Mrs. Edith Guyon of Los Angeles, California; Arthur of Palisade, Nebraska; Ralph of Orleans, Nebraska; Ray and Francis (Hank) of McCook, Nebraska; Merle (Shorty), Mrs. Ethel Beebe, and Mrs. Bessie Williams of Culbertson; Mrs. Esther Garrett of Hayes Center, Nebraska; and Mrs. Elsie Kess of Lincoln, Nebraska.
