Mr. Stewart, who was one of the early settlers of Hitchcock county, had for several years been making his home with his son, Charles. His health failed him a number of years ago and until about two years ago, he was being cared for by his wife at the home of the son. Illness of his wife then compelled the removal of Mr. Stewart to Hastings, where he had been until his death.
