Funeral services were held this afternoon at the C.E. Stewart farm northeast of Culbertson for W.A. Stewart, father of Charles and Roy Stewart, who passed away at Hastings Tuesday morning, where he has been for the past couple of years, in the interest of his health. Burial was made in the local cemetery.
Mr. Stewart, who was one of the early settlers of Hitchcock county, had for several years been making his home with his son, Charles. His health failed him a number of years ago and until about two years ago, he was being cared for by his wife at the home of the son. Illness of his wife then compelled the removal of Mr. Stewart to Hastings, where he had been until his death.
