Our Parents, Our Name...Our Ancestry
-by Gina Jean (2010)

Did they forget about Grandmother, and the love she wanted to share?
Did they forget about Grandmother, now that her pie pans are bare?
She gave us much in the midst off it all;
Our parents, our name, talks of our ancestry...I often recall.
From great Grandma Edith, to Wash, to Homer Brown;
Our roots run deep through those Alabama state grounds.
I asked my Grandma the question, "Who Begot Me?"
And there she was to start me on my journey.
So thanks to my Grandma Millie, and all the rest, too.
I've found our kinfolks all cheers to you!

Rest Heavenly My Sweet & Loving Grandmother.
