Last Thursday morning, September 15th as time was approaching three o'clock, the death angel called at the home of A. Burnett and claimed him, taking from the bereaved children the last stay and prop of the home, as Mrs. Burnett was taken from them about nine months ago. The deceased was about 60 years old and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. He leaves 12 children to mourn his death, besides other relatives and friends. His children, three sisters and one brother were all with him is the boat touched the shore and carried him from his earthly abode to that not made by hands. Mr. Burnett has lived in the vicinity for a long time and was widely known and respected. The bereaved children have the sympathy of the entire neighborhood in their sad bereavement.
