Delbert Graham, 72, of Topeka died
Wednesday, July 11, 1990, at a Topeka
retirement center.
Mr. Graham was a teacher and principal
in Topeka Unified School District 501
for 32 years before he retired in 1980.
He taught in Crawford County rural
schools before he entered the Army in
1941. He was discharged in 1945. In 1946
he went to Topeka where he taught for two
years. He later was principal at several
Topeka elementary schools.
He was born March 10, 1918, in Girard,
the son of Edwin B. and Uma L. Brees Graham.
He was married to Alta Herlocker on
September 13,1941, in Girard.
She Died March 13, 1979. He later married
Maxine Gardner Gladfelter in Topeka,
she survives.
Other survivors four daughters,a stepson,
a stepdaughter, sister Alice Hummel and
six grandchildren.
