OBITUARY Iron River Reporter Sep 1 1993 "Obituaries: Martin Javoroski"
BATES TOWNSHIP-Martin Javoroski, 86, of 211 Reiman Road, died Aug. 27 at Iron County Medical Care Facility.
He was born Oct. 22, 1906 in Bates Township where he grew up and attended school. On Sep. 26, 1933 he married the former Margaret Peterson and the couple continued to make their home in Bates Township. He worked in the local mines, for Lane-Northwest, and also for Proksch Construction. He had also served as the Bates Township Clerk for many years. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Steve, Ed, Albert and Mike Javoroski; two sisters, Rose Wilcox and Agnes Baldwin; and one granddaughter, Sherry Masnova.
He is survived by his wife; nine sons, Eugene of Green Bay, Wis., Ramon of Greenfield, Wis., Kenneth of Beechwood, Donnell of Mosinee, Wis., Gerald of Greenfield, Duane of Rock, William stationed in Okinawa in the U.S. Marine Corps, and James and Thomas both of Bates Township; four daughters, Marion Masnova of Caspian, Carol Pukall of Cedarburg, Wis., Sandra Latva of Ishpeming and Shelley Deadmond of Milwaukee, Wis.; three brothers, Leonard of Crystal Falls, Rudy of Bates Township and Walter at the Iron River Nursing Home; two sisters, Annie Federhardt of Klamath Falls, Ore. and Lucille Goheen of North Bend, Ore.; many grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Aug. 29 at Langenberg Funeral Home of Iron River.
Funeral services were held Aug. 30 at the funeral home with the Rev. Fred Kinsey and the Rev. Kim Beckmann, pastors of Trinity Lutheran Church in Stambaugh, officiating.
Organist Peggy Anderson accompanied soloist Erich Ohlsson on musical selections "Under His Wings" and "Day By Day."
The sons of the deceased served as pallbearers.
Burial was in Bates Township Cemetery.
