McGUFFEY - Mary Iams, 60, died at 8:20 a.m. Monday in Riverside Hospital, Columbus, following a lengthy illness.
Born Nov. 21, 1917, in Akron, she was a daughter of Edward and Julia A. Kopaz Daltorio. She married Roy Iams on April 10, 1941, and he survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John (Beth) Culbertson of Troy; a son, James of Union, S.C.; two grandchildren; and four brothers, Raymond Daltorio of Cincinnati, Phillip Daltorio of Gallipolis, Albert Daltorio of Peninsula and Alfred Daltorio of California.
A member of the McGuffey United Methodist Church, she taught business and English courses at Kenton High School.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hanson Funeral Home, Ada, Rev. James O. Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the Hardin County unit of the American Cancer Society.
