GERALD ELMORE

Services for Gerald (Bud) Elmore, 56, 2917 Palo Alto, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Fox and Lake Church of Christ, Forrest Kirkes officiating.

Elmore, a Carlsbad resident for 38 years, died May 17 in El Paso. Interment will be in Sunset Gardens Mausoleum.

Born Sept., 4, 1920, in Greewood, Ark., Elmore moved to Carlsbad in 1940. He was employed at IMCC until 1959 and ranched northwest and east of Carlsbad until 1973, then farmed south of the city until his death.

He was a member of the Fox and Lake Church of Christ, Eddy County Sheriff's Posse, BPOE Lodge 1558, Wool Growers Association, New Mexico Cattle Growers Association, chairman of the ASC office and board member of the Carlsbad Co-Op.

He is survived by the widow, Henrietta of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Jimmie Marrs and Mrs. Marie Ryan, both of Carlsbad; four brothers, Paul of Carlsbad, Glen of Allison, Tex., Aaron of Hunnington, Ark., and Melvin of Hamilton, Tex.;
two sisters, Mrs. Cora Gregston of Quitaque, Tex., and Loma Dickson of Hunnington, Ark.; and five grandchildren.

Pall bearers will be David Kincaid, Gene Kincaid, Laurie Kincaid, Clyde Elton, Ralph Schaefer, and Alton Adams. Honorary pall bearers will be Hugh Kincaid, Howard Willis, Richard Donaldson, Ray Howard, John Stamp, T.J. Kimbley, J.R. Haughtaling, Homer Adams and Jack Huser.
