Mary was born March 25, 1921 in Denver, Colorado to Adam and Katherine "Katie" Bellender. She was the eldest of ten children. She married John Robert Bauer in 1941. He died in 1984.
Mary was a member of St. Helena's Catholic Church in Ft. Morgan. She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, crocheting, and playing cards.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Bauer of Galesburg, Michigan, and Larry Bauer of Ft. Collins, six sisters, two brothers, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and three, great-great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband John Robert, one sister, Rosie Bellender, and her parents.
There will be a Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 24, 2014. The rosary will start at 10:00 am at St. Helena's Catholic Church in Ft. Morgan followed by the mass at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.
