Lou Etta Goins Davis, age 90, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2008 at the family residence. Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Callie Jane Hysinger Humbard and Zack Humbard. Her husbands, Lake Henry Goins and J. D. Davis, her sisters, Lela Hampton and 3 infant sisters and her brothers, J. T. Humbard, Clyde Humbard and Virgil Humbard also preceded her in death. Mrs. Davis enjoyed working in her flower garden and she enjoyed quilting. She was a member of the Waterville Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Sue Ghorley, her sons, Bill C. Goins and Don Goins and her wife Wanda all of Cleveland, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and her sisters, Frances Owenby of Cleveland and Maybell Melton of Lenoir City, Tennessee. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2:00 from the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Reverend Allen Lovelace officiating. Interment will follow in the Moores Chapel Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
