Clyde Henry Humberd, age 82, lifelong resident of Bradley County, TN, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2005, in a local hospital. He was a member of the Valley View Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of the Sanitary Food Liner in Cleveland and also a partner for many years in Superior Cash Market. He was a veteran of WWII having served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He was a former member of the American Legion and the V.F.W.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Jimmie Ruth Humberd, Cleveland, TN; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Beverly Humberd, Newport, TN; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Freddie Grubb, Cleveland, TN; three grandchildren, Holly Waldroup and spouse, Tommy, Brentwood, TN; Jennifer Grubb, Chattanooga, and Elizabeth Humberd, Newport, TN; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Waldroup and Quinton Humberd; one brother and sister-in-law, J.T. and Virginia Humberd, Cleveland, TN; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Charles Owenby, Cleveland, TN, Louetta Davis Cleveland and Maybelle and Richard Scarbrough, Lenoir City, TN; one very special nephew, John David Owenby; several other nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at 1 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Smith officiating.

Interment followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens with full military honors and a 'Trinity Dove Release' ceremony.
