Ulysses Sentinel September 6, 1893: Alanson Burt, another of the pioneers of Ulysses, was buried Sunday in the old cemetery east of town. He had reached the advanced age of 75 years and had spent the greater part of his life in this immediate vicinity. He was trusted and respected by everybody and his long life was full of good deeds and kindness. He left a wife, two children, and a large circle of other relatives. The funeral was held from the house and was largely attended.
