He was born March 1, 1942, in Chicago, to John L. and Ruth E. (Moss) Morris.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his two daughters, Ginger (Brian) Green of Bentonville, Ark., and Hope (Rod) Ramirez of Modesto, Calif.; his grandchildren, Emerald Green, Rebecca Forsman, Gabrielle Forsman, Lyric Vidal, Ashli Perry and Blake Perry; two great-grandchildren; his brother, John L. Morris Jr; two sisters, Patricia E. Sewell and Colleen Morris; and his close friends, Lauri and Jack Slaughter and family and the McHenry Police Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Stacie Hersha.
The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral at noon Tuesday, May 10, at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry.
Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery in McHenry.
