Her parents were Blanche and Johnny Hyita. She was preceded in death by one son, Steven John Tadd. She is survived by her husband, Jerry L. Tadd, four children, Kathy Lee Noble, James W. Tadd, A. Shawn Tadd, and Teresa Marie Swainston. She had ten grandsons and one granddaughter, five great granddaughters and one great grandson.
Geraldene and Jerry were married in the Salt Lake Temple, June 11th, 1953. Geraldene attended LDS Business College and Carbon College in Carbon County, UT. She worked as a secretary for many places of business. She worked for Mt. Bell telephone company in Provo, UT and Mountain View Hospital in Payson, UT.
Geraldene loved to travel and visited many parts of the world. She made frequent treks to Canada and Las Vegas to visit children and grandchildren. At the drop of a hat, she would drive for hours or catch a plane to watch a little league baseball game, a football game, a swim meet, or a dance recital. Geraldene was an avid Utah Jazz Fan. Geraldene left behind a legacy of family, love and kindness. She made friends and influenced people everywhere she went. Her motto in life was, "Because Nice Matters".
Funeral services will be held on Friday May 20th at 11:00am at the 6th Ward LDS Chapel at 6th North and Main in Spanish Fork, UT.
